This centuries old folk remedy has now gained the attention of modern cosmeticians for its scientifically proven benefits. Rich in quercetin, red onion nourishes hair thanks to its strong antiinflammatory properties and its ability to promote blood circulation to the scalp. Red onion is also high in sulfur, a natural antiseptic, that regulates sebum production and targets fungi, bacteria and other forms of residue which can build up on the scalp.
