Mendittorosa Archetipo Eau de Parfum is a meditative perfume with a woody incense heart set atop a base of sweet labdanum and amber. The brief initial zing of elemi gives the opening a lemon pepper kick before the fresh notes of fir balsam announce a stable Mediterreanean woodiness. The heart note heats up with the aroma of pure flame, like the smokeless flicker of a candle in the darkness. Add to the mix a mild note of seawater salinity and you could be fooled into thinking that life itself is being kindled into existence out of a primordial brine. The effect feels sweet and vital but ancient at the same time. As the perfume dries down, the hot-spiced aroma of incense cloaked in cashmere woods sparks formative memories of pencil shavings and aromatic paper. Mendittorosa Archetipo Eau de Parfum is part of the \u2018Time without Time\u2019 collection, within the \u2018Odori d\u2019Anima\u2019 series. The three \u2018Time without Time\u2019 scents also include Lacura and Rituale. The distinctive design of the collection features unique twisted caps designed to represent order from chaos, tangles of protection, knots and roots, loops of time without time. Individually hand-made by Italian artist Mauro Carrazza. Mendittorosa bottles come in a handmade wooden box, which are miniature editions of those used by Tuscan artist, Alessandro Reggioli, to transport his works. The unique boxes are hand-stamped, wrapped in twine and held together with a metal tag.<\/p>\n
