Mendittorosa Osang Extrait de Parfum is an ode to the miracle of San Gennaro, an annual event in which phials of the saint\u2019s dried blood inexplicably liquify. The niche perfume is a scent-based celebration of saints and superstitions, centred around a rich fenugreek absolute adorned with the gilded almond notes of heliotrope and meadow flowers. Osang\u2019s heart is heady with incense as sacrificial myrrh sways somberly between the lavish effect of pyrazines (amazing synths which conjure up an enticing smoky woodiness). All this while mournful, molten honey pours over everything like amber rain. The stern base is laden with some sacramental staples as sticky dark resins, pungent balms and incense ring out in churchy melodrama.<\/p>\n

Osang is presented in a luxurious handmade \u2018Talismans\u2019 case. Osang\u2019s renowned golden ecclesiastical cap has been handcrafted after Saint Genaro\u2019s own, by Tuscan sculptor Alessandro Reggioli. A small Neapolitan tapestry studio hand-crafted the delicate tassel that adorns the French made bottle. For a true Naples touch, each bottle contains a little horn fashioned from original red coral – the city\u2019s symbolic gemstone and bringer of good fortune.<\/p>\n
