Parallax Olfactory Pome Eau de Parfum is a molecular niche perfume which recreates the high-tech fruit notes of a plasticine peach. At first spray Pome pulsates with juicy, fleshy fruit notes. The name Pome itself refers to those fleshy fruits, such as apples, quinces and pears which expand around seed-containing cores. However, Pome\u2019s most striking fruit note is derived from the oozy sensuality of peach – a stone fruit. The funky fuzziness of peach skin has an abstract carnal fleshiness which mimics a woman\u2019s body. A saltwater taffy note adds a beguiling, saline twist to the arrangement.<\/p>\n
As with all Parallax Olfactory scents, Pome is highly experimental and explores subject matters not easily defined by its aroma. Avant garde accords of \u2018rice paper\u2019 and \u2018metallic pink thread\u2019 add the possibility for free floating associations. The name Parallax itself is used to describe \u201cthe effect whereby the position or direction of an object appears to differ when viewed from different points of view\u201d. Pome Eau de Parfum unites two very different world\u2019s: firstly the age-old cultural association of fertile nature with femininity and secondly, modern aromas molded by human creation, such as paper, candy and shiny neon fibers. Parallax was certainly spot on with the plasticine peach concept: the ideal description for mother nature made malleable by man. <\/p>\n
