Filippo Sorcinelli Pont. Max. (Extrait de Parfum) was inspired by the drawers in the sacristy of St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. The perfume opens nose tinglingly spicy with the powerful note of cedarwood. Jasmine wraps itself around myrrh and incense tendrils, permeating the perfume’s full length. The perfume rests on a wonderful amber base, bringing perfect harmony to this sacred fragrance. <\/p>\n

Filippo Sorcinelli Pont. Max. is almost an “institutional” fragrance, symbolically evoking the Roman ceremonial order based on the tradition of the Roman Church, which is widespread throughout the world. Pont. Max. (Pontifex Maximus – Pontefice Massimo) is the bridge and the maker of the bridge, the highest priestly office dating back to the earliest days of Rome, held from the 5th century onwards by the Pope, Bishop of Rome.<\/p>\n
