The result bridges the two worlds of Njie’s heritage: the nostalgia of her Scandinavian home and the tangible warmth of West Africa. Tobak evokes an intimate rather than dramatic effect \u2014 an olfactory portrait composed of familiar materials, weathered surfaces, and fading smoke.<\/p>\n
Tobak opens with a dark and sharply defined character; the tobacco leaf simultaneously carries a dry smokiness and a delicate, natural sweetness.
