Suk Jai was created by perfumer Nutt Wesshasartar in collaboration with Bar B Q Plaza, a Thai barbecue restaurant chain. The fragrance is not so much about the food itself as it is about the happiness that surrounds it. The slowly grilling vegetables, the bowls passed around the table, the sauces, and the conversations and laughter among family and friends. The perfume\u2019s name, Suk Jai (\u0e2a\u0e38\u0e02\u0e43\u0e08), means happiness or contentment, while also playfully referencing the Thai word \u201csook,\u201d which means \u201ccooked.\u201d The perfume doesn\u2019t evoke smoke, charcoal, or grilled meat, but rather the excitement of anticipation, warmth, and a sense of togetherness.<\/p>\n
