Under the creative genius of master perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, Rich Mess has channelled its aesthetic wildness into the world of niche fragrance. The first collaboration between the style rebels, Rich Mess Original Eau de Parfum was the winner of the 2019 Art and Olfaction award for best perfume in the independent category.

With slow and steady expansion on the cards Rich Mess takes aim at the proliferation of commercial and designer perfumery. Instead it focuses on genre defying scents that are exciting, challenging and mind-opening in equal measure. Brand biographies: a perfume brand with origins in high end fashion

A passionate artist, Ryan Richmond moved to New York City to attend Pratt Institute, where in addition to drawing and painting, he pursued fashion advertising, art directing and graphic design – skills that afforded him opportunities to work for high-end luxury brands such as Alexander Wang, Tom Ford, David Yurman, Jimmy Choo and countless others. However, unhappy with the soullessness he experienced in the industry, Ryan left it with a mission to return with his own brand that would operate under his own ethics. Before leaving the fashion industry, he met and worked with master perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, who in 2018 brought Ryan’s olfactive vision to life.
