Description

Strangers Perfumery Burning Ben (Eau de Parfum) is the embodiment of danger wrapped in silk. Soft, attractive and quietly threatening. The perfume opens with a sweet intoxication: plum liqueur, cognac and a hint of cherry smoke immediately grab your attention. It is the kind of opening that makes you want to lean in, knowing full well that you shouldn’t. The sweet scent is short-lived, soon swallowed up by the smell of smouldering tar, espresso grounds and tobacco smoke.

Burning Ben deepens as it reaches the heart of the perfume, softening the skin with kisses of amber and labdanum. In the dark, it can even appear to be embers. Hazelnut and dark chocolate suggest gourmand indulgence, but this is quickly overridden by the wild appeal of castoreum and burning tyres, a clash of luxury and decay. This is not a comforting scent; it exudes tension, sophisticated and nerve-wracking at the same time.

Strangers Perfumery Burning Ben, like its cinematic muse, exudes control while hinting at something wild beneath the surface. This is the scent of a secretive smile for those who are attracted to contradictions. A dangerously enchanting scent, the sweetness of burning smoke lingers in the mind long after the fire has gone out.
