Istituto dell’Odore Banana Circus (Extrait de Parfum) evokes the whimsical charm of a small-town gourmand circus: ripe bananas, hot popcorn, and the excited anticipation of a first kiss at around sixteen years old. Inspired by the rural circuses of the 1980s and summer carousel rides, it captures that moment when joy was immediate and the world seemed a little bigger than life itself. Beneath the radiant yellow vibrancy lies something tender: the realization that a seemingly insignificant evening can become a memory we carry with us for decades.

Banana Circus opens with banana and it provides the unmistakable centerpiece, surrounded by chocolate, cocoa, and the sweet-and-salty notes of popcorn. Tuberose adds a sensual floral dimension, steering the fruit toward a more sensual tone, while suede lends a soft, tactile nuance. A green thread of Triplal runs through the rich fragrance. As the composition settles, vanilla, amber, and labdanum radiate warmth, while cedarwood, patchouli, and musk provide a deeper, more solid foundation for the playful opening. The perfume’s charm lies precisely in the encounter between edible delights, flowers, and the intimate texture of worn leather.
