Description

Prin Mandodari (Extrait de Parfum) is a perfume steeped in mythology, mystery, and sensual complexity. Inspired by Mandodari, the enigmatic queen of Lanka in the Ramayana, it captures the essence of a deeply revered yet misunderstood woman. A beauty entangled in tragedy, power and forbidden attraction.

Mandodari opens with the intoxicating scent of champaca, tuberose, gardenia and frangipani, Indian flowers that radiate both devotion and sensuality. The sparkling aldehydes lend a film-like, femme fatale brilliance, evoking the magic of black-and-white icons. As the composition deepens, a dark opium accord intertwines with roasted coffee absolute and smoldering black pepper, evoking an intoxicating mist of temptation and intrigue.

Prin Mandodari is centered on tension: the animalic whisper of civet intertwines with smoky threads of tobacco and ash, creating a dangerous contrast between purity and decay. Earthy oakmoss and spicy cumin tie the composition to vintage chypre traditions, while sandalwood and teakwood lend warmth and serious strength to the base.
