Description
SIAM1928 Mekha Aranya (Eau de Parfum) got nominated for the Best Perfume Prize at the Art and Olfaction Awards 2025 in Los Angeles in the artesanal category.
The osmanthus blooms, its fragrance gently streams,
Wafting through Thai northern, a symphony of dreams.
Far-reaching aroma, like a melody in the sky,
Mhom’s essence accompanies, on a heavenly high.
Through clouds resembling silk, in a vast display,
Light reflects in hues of white, a breathtaking ballet.
Back to the clouded woods, with friends in glee,
In the sky, only joy, floating carefree.
SIAM1928 Mekha Aranya (Eau de Parfum) is an olfactive reverie of the mythical cloudy skies of Northern Thailand, where folklore brings to life the mysterious being Mhom. Guardian of temples and stormcatcher of ancient legends, Mhom appears in fragrant form – powerful, mysterious and transcendent.
At the heart of Mekha Aranya – which means ‘Cloud Forest’ in English – blooms the rich, golden essence of osmanthus absolute. A unique floral note that symbolises both the Thai and Chinese origins of Mhom. Its peachy-leathery hue intertwines effortlessly with the aldehydes and the airy musk, evoking the image of clouds floating high above the roofs of temples. It is serene, yet also charged with divine energy.
The delicate touch of honey and sandalwood adds warmth, and the whisper of earth connects the celestial ascension of rituals to the ground. A subtle nuance of leather is drawn in the osmanthus, suggesting Mhom’s strength and unbridled nature, and enveloping the fragrance in intrigue.
SIAM1928 Mekha Aranya is the mythology of fragrance itself. A solifloral composition celebrating the beauty of rebirth, it tells the story of a being once earthbound, now ascending in wisps of floral radiance to its heavenly realm.
