Description
D:SOL MMXVI Ládano (Eau de Parfum) is like a wool blanket on a cold night – protective, tactile, and quietly sensual. It draws inspiration from the warm breath of Mediterranean scrubland, where resinous plants bask in the southern sun and ancient rituals whisper in the air. At its heart is Cistus ladanifer – the most delicate, intimate form of labdanum – which is soft, warm and magically soothing.
Ládano opens with the gentle radiance of ginger lily and the bright spiciness of cinnamon leaf, refined by the delicate floral nuances of hawthorn and the subtle green scent of celery seed. This introduction is sunny yet restrained, hinting at warmth without sharpness, like light filtering through fabric.
As D:SOL MMXVI Ládano unfolds, it reveals the golden depths in the heart. Immortelle brings a characteristic honeyed, straw-like warmth that blends perfectly with vanilla and honey, creating a rich, captivating sweetness. Black licorice adds a dark, aromatic tension, giving the soft notes a slightly bitter edge that beautifully balances the composition.
The base is the most intimate. Labdanum absolute shines with balsamic beauty, surrounded by delicate wisps of smoke and the animalic hum of civet, refined by the resinous light of styrax. Papyrus provides a dry, textured finish, reminiscent of woven fibers and sun-warmed earth.
The scent of transformation, where wild resin provides comfort and the warm feeling lingers long after sunset.
