D:SOL MMXVI Terram (Eau de Parfum) is the scent of cool air flowing through green shadows: aromatic, resinous and exquisitely vibrant. The perfume is elegantly grounded, like a return to earth after the fleeting lightness of summer.

Terram opens with the resinous, green edge of galbanum, stirred up by the spiciness of pink pepper and coriander. The initial impression is both invigorating and soothing, as if signalling that the season is changing, that the vibrancy of summer is giving way to the depth of autumn.

The heart of D:SOL MMXVI Terram is resinous and expansive. The pale petals of magnolia intertwine with cistus and pine balsam, their smoky, pine-scented accents rising like the scent of sun-warmed pine needles on the forest floor. Benzoin adds a golden warmth, like resin crystallising on tree bark. Nostalgic and meditative, it is as if we were walking along a familiar forest path at dusk, where the cool air intensifies every scent.

Terram anchors the perfume with quiet strength. The earthy and smoky notes of patchouli and vetiver are complemented by the dry, elegant structure of cedarwood and musk. The combination of benzoin and patchouli creates the illusion of dark chocolate, but the perfume does not lean towards gourmand. This interaction lends the drydown a rich, tangible and infinitely soothing feel.

Terram is a transitional fragrance: warm yet airy, resinous yet soft, earthy yet refined. It is both a memory and a presence, an intimate ode to forests, roots and the soothing peace of nature.
