Extrait D’Atelier Maître Céramiste is a woody, spicy perfume with earthy amber notes. The scent is inspired by the alluring aroma of clay in a master ceramicist’s studio. True to all Extrait D’Atelier perfumes, the fragrance is 100% unisex. Top notes are reminiscent of wet, green foliage thanks to refreshing shiso leaf, herbal angelica and rich, spicy galbanum – an aromatic gum resin extracted from the ferula galbaniflua plant. Moist clay tones at the scent’s heart act as an earthen conduit to the delicate spice of pimento, incense and iris. Almost tangibly sodden base notes include oakmoss and the damp soil sweetness of patchouli. Vetiver and guaiacwood are woody and earthy – the perfect olfactory accompaniments to the warm, amber-toned dry down.

Extrait D’Atelier Maître Céramiste Eau de Parfum is a scent that undergoes a beautiful change of state – much like the alchemy that occurs at the hands of the ceramicist. The master craftsman starts with the scent of damp earth and grey water, kneading and compacting to a backdrop of muted sounds and the patter of raindrops on cement floor. Moulds ready to open, powdered plaster still poised, steady. While the wheel spins, a dance of rhythm and sensuality, skilled hands fashion the shape, tools control and design, wet sponge caresses. The kiln heats, the kiln fires; earth grows strong in its fragile nature.

Head notes: Shiso, galbanum, pink pepper, angelica, metallic accord
Heart notes: pimento, elemental, clay agreement, smoked incense, iris
Base notes: Mineral accord, vetiver, patchouli, guaiacwood, oakmoss, amber
