Description

Hiram Green Philtre is a 100% natural spicy carnation perfume with beautiful rose and jasmine undertones on a creamy soft vanilla bed. As long as mankind was aware of the feeling love, he has been trying to create potions to evoke that feeling in others. These potions are called philtres, and after drinking them, the recipient falls madly in love with the giver. This is also the story of Tristan and Isolde, and the fate of Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Hiram Green Philtre perfume opens with delicious spices: the fresh green effect of flower stems is enveloped by cloves and cinnamon, making room for the main protagonist of the fragrance: carnation. A flower heavily charged with love symbolism, carnation represents serious love as well as capriciousness, divine and secular love, fidelity and vanity. Hiram Green dreams not just the carnation petals into the perfume, but the entire flower. Rose and jasmine paint additional nectary colors around the carnation, which mellows into a beautiful and naturally resinous vanilla base as the perfume dries down.

Our modern-day love potion is the perfume itself – glamorous and seductive, with the power to instantly change the mood. Hiram Green Philte doesn’t have rhino powder or dragon’s blood, but it does have the world’s most beautiful flowers, spices and resins, and the flower of love, carnation. If there really is such a thing as a love potion, Philtre certainly is one.
