Description

Mendittorosa Omega Eau de Parfum is a powdery, floral-vanilla perfume laid out over a delicate benzoin resin base. The scent’s opening is subtly enticing with a carefully arranged bouquet of jasmine, iris and violet. The feeling of restrained femininity gives way to a subtle leather heart draped in luscious velveteen layers of oud and white musk. The base features a magical leather accord which flirts with the ‘come-to-me’ notes of iris, vanilla and musk. Finally, a mysterious nutmeg component promotes sensual, gourmand allure as the scent snuggles into the skin. The creative mind behind Mendittorosa, Stefania Squeglia, describes Omega as a baroque boudoir in which a pale, powdered woman erotically veiled in smoke beckons with her luscious lips pressed against a glass of red wine. But in the blink of an eye she transforms into a man! Mendittorosa Omega Eau de Parfum is a transgressive and timelessly decadent scent for subversive seduction.

Mendittorosa Omega Eau de Parfum is part of the ‘Trilogy’ Collection within the Mendittorosa ‘Odori d’Anima’ Series. As well as Omega, ‘Trilogy’ consists of Alfa and Id. Omega is the end, limit, closure. Omega is Alfa’s opposite, deriving an aloof elegance and composure from the quietude of its mortality, while Id is the scent which bridges the gap between all differences. Creating balance in opposites, the ‘Trilogy’ perfumes were created to complement each other and complete each other’s journey. All three were inspired by Stromboli, an active volcano off the north coast of Sicily. The original inspiration for Mendittorosa and its spiritual home, Stromboli is the source of the sensual energy and erotic power which charge these three scents. The ‘Trilogy’ compositions can be worn solo, or layered to achieve a truly personal effect.

Mendittorosa bottles come in handmade wooden boxes, which are miniature editions of those used by Tuscan artist Alessandro Reggioli, to transport his works. The unique boxes are hand-stamped, wrapped in twine and held together with a metal tag. The bottle itself is also artisan designed with thick, heavy glass and rounded corners like sea glass. The cap’s unique, dulled metallic finish heightens the ancient, rustic look.
