Parfum Prissana Ayutthaya (Extrait de Parfum) is an olfactory tribute to one of Asia’s greatest lost cities — a fragrance that captures the spirit and mystery of the ancient Kingdom of Ayutthaya at the height of its glory. Once celebrated as the “Venice of the East,” the city was a crossroads of civilizations, where merchant ships arrived laden with precious woods, exotic spices, rare resins, silks, and treasures from distant lands. Along the bustling waterways, magnificent temples rose, their gilded spires piercing the tropical sky, while the scent of sacred incense wafted through the quiet reverence.

Ayutthaya opens with a radiant accord of aldehydes, camphor, coriander seed, and black tea, at once vibrant and solemn. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cumin lend a warm spiciness, echoing the bustling markets that once lined the city’s canals. Soon, the spiritual heart of the composition emerges: rich incense intertwines with myrrh, opoponax, styrax, and golden champaca blossoms, evoking temple courtyards where fragrant smoke drifts over ancient statues and weathered Buddhist stupas. Jasmine absolute adds a delicate floral radiance that softens the darker resins without detracting from their sacred presence.

As Parfum Prissana Ayutthaya dries down, an exceptionally robust base of Australian sandalwood, teak, ebony, papyrus, patchouli, vetiver, moss, amber, and benzoin unfolds on the skin. Wafts of gunpowder float among the trees like distant echoes of history. Deep, meditative, and rich in atmosphere, Ayutthaya transforms the memory of a lost kingdom into a timeless journey into the world of devotion.
