Description
Prin Rattikarn (Extrait de Parfum) is an olfactory arrival into the darkness of a fertile night. A perfume that transcends shadows and enters the invisible wild pulse of the night. Named after the Thai word for “night,” Rattikarn unfolds like a moonlit pilgrimage through tangled forests, damp earth, and the quiet breath of hidden creatures.
Rattikarn’s journey begins with a cool contrast: bright yuzu sparkles like starlight, while camphor exudes an almost ritualistic coolness. The opening is cleansing yet ominous, a moment like a threshold before we fully enter the wild night.
In Prin Rattikarn’s heart notes the flowers become sensual and mysterious. Osmanthus and full-bodied rose exude sweetness, lotus glows faintly in the dark, and spikenard resonates with ancient mysticism. Olibanum and galbanum weave resinous green shadows into the bouquet, creating a sensation as if moonlight were filtering through dense foliage. The air becomes denser, more intimate, and full of life.
The drydown of Rattikarn takes you to a secret depth. Thai oud smolders, animalic and textured, intertwined with an ancient and magnetic deer musk accord. The spiciness of cumin, caraway, and cinnamon ignites, warming the smoky whisper of lapsang souchong tea. Immortelle and patchouli lend the perfume an earthy permanence, evoking lushness, damp soil, and the force of life in the dark.
Rattikarn questions the nature of the night: nightmare or revelation? Isolation or awakening? There is tension in its shadow, but also a promise of purity. A perfume for those who are willing to journey inward, confront uncertainty, and discover that even in the deepest darkness, the spark of enlightenment can burn quietly.
