Scent Trunk Amber Shadow Eau de Parfum is a tangy, fruity amber fragrance featuring a glittering interplay of dark and light. A dramatic olfactive chiaroscuro recreating the shadowy places where magic spells are made. On one hand Amber Shadow pulsates a beautiful apricot freshness stepping out the luminescent amber accord’s shadow. Yet this zingy-fruity clash with a molten golden core is contrasted by a dusty darkness. Black tea steeps the arrangement in a comforting gloom while polished oak, leather and an ‘old bookcase’ accord take this mysterious niche perfume indoors and soulwards, where woody silhouettes cast enigmatic shadows against the burnished metal glow.

Amber Shadow is Scent Trunk’s take on the aesthetic of ‘Dark Academia’, which connects the gloomy interiors of classical universities and dusty old libraries with schools for witchcraft and wizardry. By embracing this mysterious aesthetic we arrive at the understanding that we must spend time in the darkest environments to achieve enlightenment. When making Amber Shadow, Scent Trunk coined the concept “Ambral Sanctum”, a portmanteau of the words ‘umbral’ (shadow) and ‘amber’. Sanctum is a sacred place, like a dark library for magic seekers to learn about elixirs and spells.
