Soulvent Northern (Eau de Parfum) won the Best Perfume Prize in the Independent Category at the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2025.

Northern captures the childlike excitement of winter with its hawthorn scent. Inspired by the snow-covered streets of Beijing, it captures in perfume that joyful moment when the first bite of a sugar-coated hawthorn candy melts in your mouth, and its crisp sweetness cuts through the fresh winter air.

Soulvent Northern bursts forth with a vibrant accord of hawthorn, juicy plum, and ripe pear. Bright, tart, and irresistibly mouthwatering, the fragrance’s opening is playful and full of energy. The unique scent of hawthorn takes center stage, its fruity character both sweet and sparkling.

As Northern unfolds, dried mandarin peel brings a vibrant citrusy warmth, while smoky Pu-erh tea weaves depth and sophistication beneath the radiant fruity notes. A hint of licorice root creates a delicate sweetness that ties the fragrance notes together and lends the perfume an addictive quality that draws you back again and again. In the base of Soulvent Northern, patchouli and vetiver provide a foundation for the perfume without dampening its momentum. Guaiac wood adds a smooth, gentle warmth and rounds out the edges.

Northern is lively and unique. It celebrates the vibrant flavors, colors, and traditions of the Chinese winter, transforming the beloved tang hu lu into an unforgettable fragrance. Radiant hawthorn, smoky tea, and warm woody notes come together in a scent that is youthful, fresh, and endlessly captivating.
