Tale Parfum Bad Lily doesn’t knock on the door, but walks straight in barefoot, trailing crushed violets and a big smile. Green? This perfume is downright photosynthetic. It’s like throwing velvet into nettles, biting galbanum, and being stung by some elusive fresh quality. Yes, the lily of the valley is also there, but let’s not kid ourselves: this is not Grandma’s garden party. Rather, it’s an afterparty in the moonlit hedgerow where someone has lost their shoes and no one asks questions.

In Bad Lily datura brings a soft intoxication, like a secret whispered under the mossy branches of a tree. A flower not to be inhaled too deeply… and yet we do. At its base, the perfume is a sly coaxing of plum, patchouli and musk – lush, earthy and slightly suggestive. The moss sticks to your ankles, and the mischief to your name.

Tale Parfum Bad Lily from the hands of perfumer Michael Nordstrand is refreshingly floral, snappy and sparkling, never coy and always just a little bit cheeky. It’s not one to behave, and frankly, it’s more fun that way.

If the colour green had a grin, it’d definitely wear Bad Lily.

Heart notes: Devil’s Trumpet, Lily of the Valley, Poisonberry
Base notes: Tree Moss, Damson Plum, Pathchouli, Musk
