Voyages Imaginaires La Couleur de la Nuit Eau de Parfum is a mysterious, shimmering amber capturing the sultry nighttime air of an Asian metropolis. The intense humid heat of the opening brings an exotic elegance to the freshness of a classic fougère. Here luminous lavender combines with the balmy, wood tones of Chinese pine trees. This is the olfactive recreation of red-toned neon lights shining their romantic light on street puddles.

The vivid sparkliness of the top is set upon a backdrop of dark amber which gradually reveals itself. Warm woody resins such as fir balsam bring sugary comfort and patchouli has earthen toned mystery. Yet, a pop of geranium is the perfect floral signpost that we are still in classical fougere territory. This fascinating nocturnal landscape is illuminated like a still life in full saturation – enigmatic, half-lit alleyways; diffuse shadows hiding between red lanterns; reflections on damp and sparkling sidewalks. Voyages Imaginaires La Couleur de la Nuit is an impressive night walk through a place that is both beautifully chic and exhilaratingly other.

Voyages Imaginaires is a collaboration between perfume legend Isabelle Doyen (former head perfumer at Annick Goutal, teacher of Francois Kurkidjuan at ISIPCA and renowned nose behind Naomi Goodsir’s award winning Nuit de Bakélite) and Annick Goutal’s daughter, Camille. The winning combination of iconic perfumer and the DNA of perfume royalty means that this brand is a force to reckon with in the world of niche fragrance. Both have a love of travelling throughout this fragrant world, which has led them to settle on the brand concept of niche perfumery as a sensory journey – both to exciting new places and to the intimate spaces of our personal experience.
