Description
Gallivant Souq Wāqif (Extrait de Parfum) is an olfactory journey into the heart of Doha’s old town, capturing the spirit of a timeless market. It is steeped in tradition and mystery, with an intoxicating medley of spices, resins, and woods characteristic of the Arabian Gulf. Inspired by Qatar’s most famous souk, with its narrow alleys and bustling stalls, it is sensual, bold, atmospheric and yet rooted in tradition.
Souq Wāqif opens with striking contrasts, blending the purity and brilliance of Omani olibanum with the juicy scent of blood oranges from Sicily’s Mount Etna. Saffron lends a golden warmth, evoking images of sun-warmed stones and woven baskets filled with rare spices.
At the heart of Gallivant Souq Wāqif, the fragrance takes on an unexpected freshness. The balmy richness of myrrh is complemented by the airy lightness of African geranium, like a welcoming breeze through shaded lattice windows.
At the base of the perfume, a rich tapestry of oud unfolds, appearing for the first time in the Gallivant collection. Sourced sustainably from Vietnam, it is deep, textured, and elegantly restrained, complemented by smoky guaiac wood, earthy patchouli, and the leathery amber tones of labdanum. The resinous notes leave a lasting impression, tied to the roots of the place and the ultimate in luxury.
Souq Wāqif is the scent of discovery and happiness, a tribute to the elegance and vibrant vitality of Khaleeji culture. It invites you on an evening stroll through a labyrinth of scents and shadows. A perfume that whispers and beckons you closer. Bold yet refined. Familiar yet surprising. Completely unforgettable.
