Extrait D’Atelier Maître Chausseur is an oriental, aromatic perfume with deep, resiny tones. The scent’s inspiration comes from the rich and distinctive aromas of a master shoemaker’s atelier. The unisex fragrance complies with Extrait D’Atelier’s belief that sophisticated scents have no gender. Heart notes of incense and cistus are deep and resinous, while calamus, coriander and ginger bring aromatic warmth. The perfume is held together by accords of elemi – a gum extract from an oriental wood – endowing the scent with the musty otherness of a shoemaker’s workshop. Exotic base notes of vetiver, sandalwood, leather and ambergris continue the feeling of turpentine-tinged atelier.

Extrait D’Atelier Maître Chausseur Eau de Parfum is based on a belief in the values of classic craftsmanship. The honest beauty of raw materials found in a shoemaker’s workshop characterizes this perfume. Addictive scents emanating from the hides and tools lining the cork-clad wall or lying on a wood and steel table. The pungent aroma of stretched leather prototypes, fabric and rubber heightened by the heady hit of glue. Cardboard boxes, cotton sacks, brushes, wax and polish – indicators of old school skill and dedication which favours technique over technology.

Top notes: calamus, ginger and bellflower
Heart notes: elemi, incense, cistus, coriander, orchid and coffee
Base notes: vetiver, sandalwood, leather, ambergris and vanilla
