Description

Extrait D’Atelier Maître Chausseur is an oriental, aromatic perfume with deep, resiny tones. The scent’s inspiration comes from the rich and distinctive aromas of a master shoemaker’s atelier. The unisex fragrance complies with Extrait D’Atelier’s belief that sophisticated scents have no gender. Heart notes of incense and cistus are deep and resinous, while calamus, coriander and ginger bring aromatic warmth. The perfume is held together by accords of elemi – a gum extract from an oriental wood – endowing the scent with the musty otherness of a shoemaker’s workshop. Exotic base notes of vetiver, sandalwood, leather and ambergris continue the feeling of turpentine-tinged atelier.

Extrait D’Atelier Maître Chausseur Eau de Parfum is based on a belief in the values of classic craftsmanship. The honest beauty of raw materials found in a shoemaker’s workshop characterizes this perfume. Addictive scents emanating from the hides and tools lining the cork-clad wall or lying on a wood and steel table. The pungent aroma of stretched leather prototypes, fabric and rubber heightened by the heady hit of glue. Cardboard boxes, cotton sacks, brushes, wax and polish – indicators of old school skill and dedication which favours technique over technology.

Top notes: calamus, ginger and bellflower
Heart notes: elemi, incense, cistus, coriander, orchid and coffee
Base notes: vetiver, sandalwood, leather, ambergris and vanilla

    Ma kipróbáltam a “cipészmestert”. Hol is kezdjem? Ha egy rövid értékelést kérne valaki tőlem, annyit mondanék csak, hogy wow! Vagy uhh. Kicsit bővebb leszek. Ez a parfüm – számomra – egy valódi művészi alkotás. Remekmű. Olyan összhangban vannak az összetevők egymással, amit talán még sosem tapasztaltam más, általam használt parfümöknél. Tökéletes arányok, ahogy egymásra épülnek és nyitnak az illatkomponensek – lenyűgöző. Először édesnek éreztem a saját bőrömön, és csodálkoztam is, mert nem erre számítottam. Karcosabb, vagy inkább provokatívabbnak gondoltam egy cipészműhely atmoszféráját megidézni, amiről koromnál fogva vannak emlékeim, és igen, arra vágytam, hogy azt az illatot, amit gyerekkormoban éreztem, amikor beléptem egy cipészműhelybe, azt, igen azt hozza vissza. Az édes nyitás után egy nagyon sima, elegáns, már-már túlzottan nyugodt, harmonikus illat jelent meg, ami bár tényleg gyönyörű volt, még mindig nem azt nyújtotta, amit vártam. És aztán a leszáradás után, ami több volt mint amit eddig más esetekben tapasztaltam, megjött az a hangulat, az az atmoszféra, ami engem izgatott, amit kerestem. Elképesztően azonos, tényleg a gyerekkori cipészműhelyekben tett hangulat-illat-miliő jön elő. Érzem a bőrök, a ragasztók, a gyanták, a viaszok illatát, látom a kaptafát, a cipészárt, megjelennek előttem a használt szerszámok, még a nyikorgó ajtó is, ahogy beléptem, és láttam a kötényben éppen dolgozó öreg cipészt, ahogy kalapálja bele a talpba a kis fa szegecseket… mindezt olyan hitelesen, mégsem tolakodóan megkomponálva, hogy az valami elképesztően bámulatos. – Nagyon hosszan tart az illat, egyedi, karakteres, mégsem hivalkodó. Egy bizonyos élettapasztalat és egyéniség nem hátrány a viseléséhez. 🙂 Sőt!
