Beaufort London The Grudge (Eau de Parfum) is an olfactive anthem of transformation, a brutal yet elegant ode to the materials shaped by time, tides and invisible depths. Inspired by the mysterious appearance of ambergris, the rare ‘white gold’ that sometimes washes ashore on Scotland’s rocky shores, the perfume captures the raw poetry of the sea’s alchemy.

The ambergris is formed in the stomach of the sperm whale and then finds its way into the ocean, where it drifts for years as it is shaped by salt and sun. What starts as a visceral by-product becomes an outgrowth, a waxy mass of marine musk and haunting warmth. When it finally washes ashore, it brings with it the scent of distance, mystery and transformation. This rare substance is at the heart of The Grudge.

Beaufort London The Grudge opens with the scent of bitter, herbal wormwood, penetrated by the smoke of frankincense and copal, and the perfume awakens like a wind blowing from the grey sea. At the heart of the fragrance, tea leaves soak in salt water, intertwining with seaweed and the earthy sweetness of calamus, bringing the coastline closer.

The soul of The Grudge is the base notes, with natural ambergris tides intertwining with tobacco, oud, musk and oakmoss, resting in the dark richness of labdanum absolute. An animalic yet sophisticated perfume, ancient and modern at the same time. A metaphor for presence and perseverance, The Grudge is a testament not to perfection but to the beauty found in the process.
