Bode Studios Fuchsrot Eau de Parfum won the Best Perfume Prize at the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2023 in the Independent Category.

Bode Studios Fuchsrot is a green, grassy and waxy fougère humming with warm woods and spices – a niche perfume that beautifully balances fiery passion with a sense of demure classiness. Top notes of glossy green violet leaf are earthy and cool. But soon enough Fuchsrot reveals its lively spicy aspect. Lemon oil slicks the opening in fizzy citrus freshness while a combination of green pepper and guaiac wood brings ginger-spiced heat. Violet leaf reaffirms its watery presence in the perfume’s heart, teaming with waxy iris once again to cool the scent towards a succulent grassy fougère. This landscape of lush ferns, verdant leaf and green grass is all about soft strength and quiet passion.

Slowly and steadily, a world of woods and leathers emerges, bringing tenacity and power to the base. A hint of vetiver supports long-lasting performance and adds a slightly tropical touch, while tonka bean gives the perfume a sensual rounding off. Bode Studios Fuchsrot is the perfect scent for those of us with character inconsistencies. On one hand, it’s a beautifully introverted natural perfume.
