Filippo Sorcinelli LAVS XXVI (Extrait de Parfum) returns to the intimate ritual from which the original LAVS fragrance was born: the perfume was originally created to scent boxes containing sacred vestments from his tailoring atelier. Before it became a perfume worn on the skin, LAVS accompanied liturgical garments, its scent intricately intertwined with the experience of unfolding the fabric, revealing the embroidery, and preparing for worship.

With LAVS XXVI, Filippo Sorcinelli returns to this concept. Smokier, woodier, and more resinous than the previously available fragrance, this reinterpretation guides us even deeper into the sacred atmosphere at the heart of LAVS. The scent of incense wafts from the shadows, its austere beauty deepened by the warmth of the woods and the captivating richness of the resins. A sense of calm emanates from its density, as if the air itself were preserving the memory of prayer.

With its deeper and more sacred mood, LAVS XXVI evokes the quiet solemnity of the church after the ceremony: the smoke lingering in the air, the wooden furnishings warmed by time, and the silence settling around the folded liturgical vestments.

This return to the beginnings sheds a sharper light on the connection between perfume and ritual. Filippo Sorcinelli LAVS XXVI transfers the spirit of the atelier onto the skin and, with its solemn, intimate presence, deeply rooted in the sacred origins of LAVS, invites contemplation.

Top notes: white pepper, wool, palo santo
Middle notes: cumin, cardinal incense, copal
Base notes: incense resin, guaiac wood, opoponax, oak
