House of Mammoth You & I (Will Die) (Eau de Parfum) has been nominated for the Best Perfume Prize in the Artesanal Category at the Art & Olfaction Awards in Los Angeles.

House of Mammoth You & I (Will Die) is an olfactive meditation on mortality – a perfume that captures the fragile glow of life against the certainty of the end. It is not a perfume to be worn casually, but rather to be experienced, to be immersed in.

You & I (Will Die) opens with a whisper of aldehydes and tangled green weeds, and seems as ephemeral as early morning mist on dewy leaves. In the background, faintly damp flower petals open up – not romantic, more haunting, as if waking from a dream to this scene. As the minutes pass, the perfume’s heart reveals a more corporeal truth: jasmine and carrot seed intertwine around worn leather and smoky logs. There’s a gravitas to the perfume, a descent into the rich humus of the earth, where Haitian vetiver and patchouli absolute hint at the rumble of roots and decay.

In the drydown of House of Mammoth You & I (Will Die), the last musky notes of violet leaf and truffle rise again in an almost impossible way, a reminder that even in the face of the end, something ineffable remains. A journey. A heartbeat. A fleeting confirmation: we are alive.
