Imaginary Authors Telegrama Eau de Parfum is a delicately sweet lavender fragrance dusted in refreshing talc and draped in clean pressed linen. Each Imaginary Authors fragrance is inspired by a fictitious work of fiction and Telegrama is a romantic epic chronoling the intertwining trajectories of two lovers united in fate and separated by circumstance.

The lavender stereotype is dead, long live lavender! Telegrama is an excitingly, nose-arrestingly new lavender fragrance that succeeds in olfactive innovation, while maintaining the sense of classic luxury you’d expect from a traditional masculine fougere. Telegrama is an evocative homage to the golden age of air travel, when gentlemen wore suits in flight and airport lounges were places of glamour. Somehow we can’t help but imagine Carey Grant in his iconic suit in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest. There is a rugged herbaceousness to Telegrama’s opening which instantly impresses and the sparkling purity of fresh linen gives timeless appeal. In short, it’s clean, well put together and universally attractive.

But Imagnary Authors Telegrama is not simply a message from a solidly vintage past. The barbershop freshness is underlaid with an enthrallingly plush, haylike sweetness. A honeyed note of golden, roasted corn adds a rounded touch – drizzling the aromatic purity of lavender in vanilla molasses. Telegrama’s base is something of a journey. It dries down from dense herbs and honey into a beautiful powdered talc – smooth as a classic close shave. With the refinement of a teak-panelled gentleman’s room, delicate woods reveal themselves in the base. The ideal backbone to hold everything together.

Imaginary Authors Telegrama takes us on a sensual voyage. From lavender’s radiant blue herbality to freshly laundered linen and thick-cloaked vanilla, somehow this contradiction of a scent arrives somewhere uniquely new – a modern classic man who is confident, suave and in touch with himself.

Synopsis: “Separated when they were nineteen but forever tethered to hope, two Argentinian lovers manage to stay in touch even as the world pulls them further and further apart. Persuasive messages, some of which take months to reach their recipient, dramatically alter the course of each of their lives but the time that passes between communications has a way of unraveling even the best-laid plans. Aboard a transatlantic flight many years later, the two are serendipitously united but the repercussions of this much-anticipated convergence could have global consequences.”
