Mendittorosa Sirio Extrait de Parfum balances bright florals with syruppy fruits and rich musks floating on a gourmand base of vanilla and amber. The opening oozes with booze emanating from molten, jammy rhubarb. The perfume´s floral-fruit heart is like an Elizabethan delight; a refreshingly tart compote featuring rose, peony and plum, which pairs perfectly with a voluptuous vanilla custard note. The ambrosial booziness of ripe fruits and sweet white musk gradually subdues as a protective cloak of guaiac wood, cashmeran, vanilla and amber coalesce into a comforting base. The rich, almost milky drydown prolongs the mysterious carnal essence of Sirio and makes it smell almost good enough to eat.

Mendittorosa Sirio is an perfume within the house’s ‘Talismans’ collection, renowned in the niche perfume world.  Sirio was inspired by a passage from ‘The Princess’ by Alfred Lord Tennyson; ‘and as the fiery Sirius alters hue, And bickers into red and emerald’ is a reference to Sirius, the brightest known star in the universe and the long time focus of esoteric studies by those in search of answers to the big questions. Mendittorosa Sirio leads its devotees down an enchanted path. In so doing it defies the laws of gravity – connecting the forbidden fruits of Eden to the stars above.
