Rubini Profumi Tambour Sacré Extrait de Parfum is a warm and spicy oriental perfume taking fragrance explorers on a pulsating journey to the Horn of Africa. The niche scent is an olfactory dream devised by Cristiano Canali (Masque Milano, Zoologist Perfumes) guiding the nose to an exotic new perfume landscape, by connecting progressive Italian perfumery to the traditional scents of Ethiopia – in particular the region of the Omo Valley. Tambour Sacré colours the canvas of our imagination by exploring the pungent tones of clay and earth, the deep allure of coffee and exotic spices, and the meditative effects of balsams. Topnotes of Calabrian bergamot vibrate with orange and cardamom as the heated embrace of black pepper exerts its almost sacral aroma. The perfume’s heart beats with lush tuberose, its heady intensity erotically contrasting with the deep complexity of roasted coffee. Tambour Sacré starts off powerful and challenging, yet it gently mellows as the sweet-spiced intoxication of cinnamon warms on the skin. The scent’s wood and resin heavy base becomes ever more hypnotic as sandalwood and a balsamic opoponax note take the scent to a new dimension. Tambour Sacré’s sensual aroma beats with the pace of a drum. As the scent dries down, the intensity of the rhythmic spiral slowly abates revealing an ancient, deeply spiritual backdrop laden with Somali myrrh, benzoin and tonka beans.

Rubini Tambour Sacré Extrait de Parfum comes in a framed package hand-carved from recycled African iroko wood. The wooden holder not only protects the perfume bottle, it pays homage to the sacred African tree traditionally used to build houses and make instruments such as drums.
