House Of Matriarch x taigrance Balhenge (Eau de Parfum) is an animalic-floral perfume born from mist, myths, and forbidden devotion. An exclusive collaboration between House of Matriarch and the Taiwanese perfumery Taigrance, only 100 bottles were produced worldwide, 10 of which are now available at 7scents Perfumery! A perfume as a ritual, a sacrifice to a love that cannot be explained.

Balhenge opens with a moment of intimate silence: pandan leaves, jasmine rice steam, and the slightly nutty scent of freshly harvested Thai Hom Mali. The effect is gentle and human, like naked skin wrapped in memory.

At the heart of the perfume, Balhenge blossoms into something otherworldly. Coconut milk blends with ancient healing tinctures, roots, and resins that have both healing and erotic effects. White flowers rise from the misty lake: water lily, sambac jasmine, osmanthus, ylang absolute, Colombian gardenia, narcissus, and white champaca. They are not overly polite, rather pulsate, breathe and sway. They embody the devotion that remains even when reality shatters. A true rebellious beauty.

House Of Matriarch x taigrance Balhenge slowly and irrevocably sinks into its base. Cypress and Buddhawood ground the perfume with the air of a sacred forest, while orris root lends it a cool, powdery silence. The snakeskin accord winds its way through soft musk and an extremely rare oud from the 1970s, during the Laotian war, dark, smoky and extremely vivid. Balhenge is love seen through misty eyes – animalic, floral, and unafraid to disappear for what it believes in.

Base notes: Formosa Cypress, snake leather accord, buddhawood, Orris root, Musk, Vintagr 1970s Laotian Wartime Oud extra special reserve
