Description

Dan Lo Taimaru (Eau de Parfum) transforms one of Taiwan’s most famous everyday treats into an exceptionally rich gourmand fragrance. Inspired by pearl milk tea (better known as bubble tea!), the fragrance captures not only its sweetness but also the contrast between the deep, strongly brewed tea, the caramelized sugar, and the soft, sticky texture of the tapioca pearls.

Taimaru opens instantly captivating: the brown sugar evokes a dark, melted, almost roasted sensation, enveloping the perfume in a luminous, caramel-like richness. Beneath this, Ruby black tea from Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake region lends depth and structure, while its rounded tea character prevents Taimaru from being merely sugary.

As Dan Lo Taimaru unfolds, longan honey adds a characteristically fruity-floral sweetness, with a slight tartness that cuts through the density of the brown sugar. The oolong tea gradually becomes more pronounced, offering a greener, slightly dry, and aromatic contrast. The effect is surprisingly multifaceted. One moment sweet and creamy, the next darker and more tannic. Although milk isn’t officially listed among the fragrance notes, a soft, milky impression accompanies the perfume throughout, especially as it dries down, where the brown sugar and tea meld together in an almost vanilla-like way.

Taimaru is juicy, sticky, gourmand, and soothing. It’s as if we were sipping freshly made bubble tea while the brown sugar pearls are still warm. It’s gourmand, but the layered tea provides enough bitterness and texture to ensure it isn’t merely sweet but remains intriguing.
