Mendittorosa Nettuno Extrait de Parfum is a velvety niche perfume featuring frozen rose floating amid nebulous musks, blue ginger, translucent blooms and soft, embracing leather. The opening is sumptuous and textured with powdered particles of iris drifting like ash over the stellar protection of rich leather. A perfumed flight of fate, the astral top notes of spices such as black pepper, blue ginger and nutmeg seem to float forth from their velour lined celestial pouch. As the astral contents scatter across the great unknown they meet a distant, unusually complex rose facet; restrained and powdery with a hint of ozonic airiness. Nettuno’s sparkling floral heart descends like space dust in the drydown, placing the base firmly back on terra firma with rich sediments of leather, earthy carrot seed and Haitian vetiver. A mysterious haze of white musks, however, retains a sense of the otherworldly as this intriguing niche scent subtly trails off.

Its exquisite beauty is a celestial mirror of the soul invoking the symbolism and astrological forces of distant Neptune’s blue spinning majesty. In his poem, ‘Neptune’s Flight’, astrologer and poet Marco Pesatori imagines ‘I fly in an intergalactic space where gods are dancing’. Nettuno is a bit like this. This lush, powdery perfume is a talisman of duality, compassion and transformation – a sensual symbol of astral guidance towards a higher plane.

Mendittorosa Nettuno Extrait de Parfum is housed in heavy French-made glass bottles decorated with a hand-cut cosmic mirror design featuring beads and coloured glass by Luisa Degli Specchi, an expert in mosaic creations. Each bottle is hand-decorated by Luisa making every Nettuno bottle a piece of truly unique beauty. The wooden cap has been delicately painted in silver to reflect the vision of Nettuno Extrait de Parfum’s reflective mirror concept.
