Meo Fusciuni 1# nota di viaggio (rites de passage) Eau de Parfum is a fresh and spicy chypre perfume inspired by the ancient city of Istanbul. The opening is a citrus celebration of tangy bergamot and piquant grapefruit which seems to showcase the whole fruit – waxy peel and all. The citric tones segue naturally into black pepper reproducing the olfactory intensity of the freshest ingredients in a vibrant Mediterranean market.

Tangy citrus fruits and pungent spices seem to unite in ‘rites de passage’ distinctive geranium note. An incredibly rich and dark floral, geranium is the scent’s olfactory axis allowing the scent to turn towards deeper wood tones in the base. Rosewood’s aromatic spiciness is grounded by a sandalwood note which seems to resonate on the level of the soul. Bolstering the air of far off places, an exotic blend of incense, patchouli, benzoin and vetiver have the sensual appeal of exotic staples at a bazaar on the banks of the Bosphorus.

Meo Fusciuni #1 nota di viaggio (rites de passage) Eau de Parfum is Meo Fusciuni’s first work and forms the first installment in the ‘nota di viaggio’ trilogy, inspired by three world famous centres of perfume and scent. #1 nota di viaggio (rites de passage) takes perfume explorers on a delicate and vibrating journey. With its origin in Istanbul’s Eastern Gate, the scent plays with the rites of passage experienced by the uninitiated traveller, from dealing with homesickness and overcoming the unknown to experiencing a metamorphosis which reveals the magic and delight in the art of travel. An almost spiritual dedication to journey, this perfume is formed from the earthy spices, sweet florals and divine resins of the orient.
